What is an old near-retired doctor doing writing about Hailey Welch aka the HuakTuah Girl? Well, for one, providing an update for a question that seems to be trending. Where is HuakTuah? Where is that Haily Welch $SHAWK cryptocurrency gal? Did she go down in flames of a short sell scandal?
First, I want to say this: anyone who is cheering for this girl’s demise and hoping to see her ‘fifteen minutes are up’ is weird. No, she did not fall of the edge of the Earth to the land of ‘There Be Dragons’. From what I can tell in my research, the young woman has pivoted her brand to creating podcast content with friends, celebrities and a bearded fellow named Pookie.
The podcast seems currently promoted by something called ‘Betr’ and she is still funny, young and drifting through topics like a breeze. So why does all of that matter?
To me, this young woman epitomizes one of the actually great qualities of America. There is all this figurative talk about what makes America great, and really, watching the formation of a police state with a complacent citizenry is not great.
What is great is the story of this young woman named Hailey Welch. In one interview, she clearly has issues from birth that she overcame. I cannot verify the veracity, but I have no reason to not believe her words so watch it for yourself. That takes a strength that I as a professional know many people would use as an excuse in their day-to-day lives of how they apply themselves.
I think a lot of people unfairly judge this young woman because her initial opening for a career path and lifestyle came from the viral moment we have all likely seen online. The underlying currents is that the young woman was fast on her feet and in a moment of youth, gave a very funny response to a type of interview that is typified in Generation Alpha.
But what she DID with that opportunity afterward is what’s special. Sure, you can do t-shirts. You can try to make follow-up little videos. But the young woman smartly created a temporary viral brand, but then, started to do something that others have failed: transition.
Now, the entire crypto thing I think the great Shaquielle O’Neal (great as in a person, not great as in better than centers like Hakeem Olajuwon, Javel McGee or David Robinson. Put them on the Lakers squad with Kobe, they would have 6-peated). But I digress. There are charlatans out there and perhaps this is my bias speaking, but Welch did not mastermind a scheme like that. So I say move on and keep reaching for the stars.
And it seems that is just what she is doing. The podcast has been in my newsfeed and it is standard Gen Alpha fodder. Celeb interviews, casual topics and the like. Us old-timers are doing a fine job messing the country and world up, but what I see in this younger generation is indifference to things that seem to incense us, but an almost sweeping anger to doing things like misgendering or closing out the concept of diverse interests. I think Welch interview a rapper named Khalifa recent. If that’s the trend, give me 100,000 more of her and 100,000 less of the partisan bimbos running political spin accounts on social or corporate media.
I’m voting Hailey Welch a person who I hope has plenty more time in media and becomes a huge success.
